Technology
Four technologies, one complete picture. GPS outdoors, BLE indoors, LoRaWAN and LTE to the cloud - all visible in a single dashboard.
Signal path
Every trolley carries a smart tag. That tag talks to GPS satellites and BLE beacons, then sends its data to the cloud via LoRaWAN or 4G LTE.
Outdoor Tracking
Each trolley carries a compact GPS tracker that reports its precise location every 30 seconds. Whether a trolley has been pushed to the far end of the car park, left on a nearby street, or is sitting in a neighbour's driveway - you'll see it on the map.
GPS coverage spans the entire outdoor area around your store, giving your staff a clear collection route rather than a guessing game. Geofences trigger instant alerts when a trolley crosses a boundary you define.

Indoor Detection
GPS signal doesn't penetrate the roof of a supermarket. TrollyNet solves this with a network of Bluetooth Low Energy beacons installed throughout your store. Each beacon covers a defined zone - entrance, produce, dairy, checkout, back-of-house - and detects trolley tags as they move through.
You'll always know which zone trolleys are in, how long they've been there, and whether they're clustered somewhere they shouldn't be. It's indoor presence detection without any infrastructure complexity.

Connectivity
TrollyNet tracker tags support two wireless protocols so your network is never a single point of failure.
LoRaWAN is purpose-built for IoT. One gateway installed at your store covers the entire car park and building. Tags can run for 2–3 years on a single battery charge. Data is transmitted securely on a private network - no dependency on public Wi-Fi or cellular congestion.
When a trolley moves beyond LoRaWAN range - down a street, into another car park - the built-in 4G LTE SIM takes over automatically. No data is lost, and you still see the trolley's GPS position in real time. LTE also acts as the primary connection in areas where a LoRaWAN gateway isn't yet deployed.

Software
The TrollyNet dashboard gives store managers and operations teams a real-time view of every trolley across the entire site. See a live map, zone breakdown, and trolley count - updated continuously.
Filter by indoor vs outdoor, by zone, or by time last seen. Generate collection reports and share them with staff via the companion mobile app - so your team goes exactly where the trolleys are, not where they think they might be.
Dashboard features
Alerts
Draw a geofence around your property in the dashboard. The moment a trolley's GPS crosses that boundary, TrollyNet triggers an instant alert - push notification, email, or both - so your team can act immediately.
Set multiple zones: a tight boundary for the store entrance, a wider one for the car park perimeter, and an outer alert zone for the surrounding streets. Each zone can have its own alert rules and severity level.
